Examination

Examination are session which provide feedback on how we have understood what we have been learning. Always make sure you understand what the examination is asking for. Take time to revise what you have been taught and if you dont understand anything please ask you teachers and your peers. Do not wait for the last moment to revise. Revision is continuous 20 minutes a day for each subject will give you a long way to go. Remmeber the best thing about what you are learning is UNDERSTANDING what is being taught NOT REMEMBERING. The only why to understand is to Share it with peers, Practice questions, read to understand. I love exams because they always tell me what I know about the topic I have been taught. All the BEST in your Exams

Google Drives Mood swings!!

Mr.Gioko my video is not going to be posted this weekend due to the software google drive giving me its unwanted mood swings. I upload my video and then it refuses to show it to me however it says 13MB used.

45#!

On the first day of the motions club our first tasks was to create a 45 second video on anything we wanted. I paired up with Darshil so that we could create the video together. Sure enough our video was done and it was ready for posting. I am really eager to learn new things in this club.

Telling my Story-Design

Telling my story. Before you start telling your story think about the following -What do you want to tell?
-Who is your target audience? -What facts do you what to seek? -Where will you get the facts from? -What is your opinion about topic of your discussion? -is it worth telling the story? Respond to these questions and post your responses to this post. Also react to one of the posted responces.

4.5.12

Today we were supposed to add sound to the video. But because of some technical difficulties I was unable to do so. So I spent the lesson redoing the video by making a new powerpoint.

Reflection of the Lesson 3

Today, I(Darshil) added voice overs to the video i had made about coal. It proved a small challenge but then the problem was that the video became more than 45 seconds. Thus, I ended the video at 1:30 and will now try to post it.
So this is motions, Friday the 4th. I really like the mic on the headphones you can make funny sounds. My voice over didn't work it just made sounds like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiihhhhhuyyyyyyyyyy! At home I will do the voice over and share when I finish.

The Motions Club is....

.... quite the interesting club! I say this because of the project we are currently working on. I have never been able to create a movie using files created through Microsoft Powerpoint, and learning how to is very interesting for me. I look forward to learning more about the creation of videos in the coming weeks.

Session 3

Adding Voice to our story. Mant times we think that everybody can see well. We need to appreciate that some people are visually impared. If they are to enjoy our story then they need to hear it.
At the end of the session today we should be able to add a narration to our story and reflection about the experience. We should also be able to respond atleast to one reflection by our club mate. Add that voice in your STORY.

Give Me 45 Seconds!!!

For the past Fridays that I have attended the Motion Club, I have managed to learn several things. One, I have learnt how to cut a whole movie into small pieces as well as how to add text into a movie. It has been a really fun and exciting experience and hope that it’s going to continue the same way for the rest of the term. So far, I have interacted with many people and hope to continue learning from them.

MY REFLECTION

Today we were told to make our own music by using the software songsmith to accompany the powerpoint Rohin and I made. It was really fun making our own music however it was abit confusing to work together because Rohin and I kept on arguing about which song to choose; however Rohin agreed to do Boulevard of Broken Dreams as I desired and by using Song Smith we added some extra beats as well as removing some words.

Lesson 2 - Motions

Today our assignment was to work on adding voice - overs to our 45 second videos that we created last week. However, considering that not all of us had head phones made it difficult, hence subtitles were suggested instead.
During this lesson, I aided Mr. Gioko with collecting and inputting e-mail addresses of the students in the club, enabling access to the club blog. Additionally, I managed to inquire on whether I could work on my C.T. project during the club as it is also about making a video. I intend to explore a new software, and I was hoping some of the skills we share in the club could aid me. Mr. Gioko agreed, and I shall be doing the same during clubs time.
By the end of this club, I would like to be able to have gained various skills about a different software for video making. In order to corroborate my learning, I would like to have created a video about hygiene, which is also my C.T. project, and finally, I would like to share my knowledge with others.
The first lesson was interesting and fun because it gave us a chance to express ourselves really quickly because we had to make 45 second video. It was interesting because I did a very interesting story about a guy named Kurt and his life. I like motions.
Today, I opened my video planning to edit it, that is putting subtitles. But i couldnt do it because I saved my video in the "MOVIE" form. But this delay kind of gives me time to redo the video, and start to think about subtitles.

Making Videos

"Animation offers a medium of story telling and visual entertainment which can bring pleasure and information to people of all ages everywhere in the world. "
Walt Disney
Today was out first motions day i really enjoyed it because we were creating
stories about made up characters..that was fun and unique.. this gave us an opportunity  to
let our imagination free..
